Clipper Blades for Pet Grooming - 1/16 Cut, Compatible with Andis, Oster A5, Wahl KM-10

If your dog is very dirty or has severely knotted hair, it will damage the blade, as the debris on the dog will directly harm the blade, shortening its lifespan or even rendering it unusable.

At a minimum, blade sets should be oiled once a day. Ideally, this should be done before every grooming session. To oil the blades, place a few drops of blade oil on the front and side of the cutter blades, then wipe off any excess oil with a soft, dry cloth.

When cleaning the blades, immerse them in a shallow pan of clipper oil or blade cleaner while the clipper is running. After cleaning, turn the clipper off and dry the blades with a clean, dry cloth. If the blades still do not cut properly, there may be some hair trapped between the upper and lower blades. In this case, remove the blade from the clipper and slide the upper blade to one side without loosening the tension spring or moving the upper blade completely out. Wipe the surfaces of the blades clean with a dry cloth, then place a drop of clipper oil where the upper and lower blades meet and also in the guide slot of the tension spring.
